While I enjoy my mornings helping customers at The Home Depot, my true passion comes to life behind the lens of a camera. And I’m beyond lucky to share that passion with my wife, Lindsay.

As a veterinarian, my days are often filled with profound challenges, which is a driving force that makes me cherish the chance to document purely happy, fleeting moments. I serve as our duo’s Creative Director, and I thrive on the challenge and reward of bringing an ambitious artistic idea to life, a passion that started young showing dogs and continues today.
Together, we are L. King Photography. The 'L' in our name stands for both of us, a partnership built on love, adventure, and a shared artistic vision. As your storytelling photographers GR, we’re dedicated to capturing the moments that matter most.
From a Caribbean Island to West Michigan
Our story began unexpectedly. I was an island boy with an artistic vision; she was a daydreaming country girl with a wandering soul. Fate brought us together on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts, where we bonded through teamwork and a shared ability to find beauty in every moment amidst the challenges of a global pandemic. From that point on, we were inseparable.
We promised each other we would explore the world and never let an adventure go undocumented. That promise sparked an unforgettable journey across the United States, camera in hand, which ignited our passion into a profession.

The Rescue Dog taught us the power of patience, proving that the most authentic pet portraits Grand Rapids come from capturing a soul in its own element.
The High Drive Sport Dog taught us to anticipate and capture that peak moment of intensity. My (Lindsay's) lifelong involvement in the dog show world, from the Kent County Youth Fair and 4-H to competitive AKC and CPE trials, gives me a special appreciation for this. It taught me how to celebrate the hard work and the small wins during a session, capturing the bond between a handler and their companion.
The "Beating the Odds" Dog taught us to treasure every day and approach every photoshoot as if it’s the most important one because, for you, it is.
